DescriptionThis piece draws its inspiration from the breathtaking landscapes of the Wellington region, expressed with a painting technique I’ve recently been exploring. By layering modelling mediums into bold, sweeping brush strokes, I carve out textured spaces that become windows into familiar places. I use bright, bold underpaintings to reflect the vibrancy of the city. Each brushstroke depicts a scene that holds cherished memories for myself, and I hope for many others.
