We are Bee in the City 2026 – Learner Programme

The Learner Programme invites young creatives to design medium-sized Bee sculptures, adding imagination and creativity to the trail.

What’s included:

  • A 3D fibreglass Bee sculpture for your school to bring to life
  • Attendance for two staff members at a briefing/inspiration event
  • Inclusion in the high-profile city-wide art trail, featuring your sculpture on the app, website, and trail map
  • A cross-curricular learning resource pack, with lesson plans, classroom templates, and activities

Your bee on display

You Bee will take centre stage in an indoors city venue for the duration of the trail, giving the public a chance to admire the creativity and imagination of your school or group. It will also be part of the farewell celebration, when all the bees – big and small – come together as a hive for one final goodbye before the trail ends.

While the large artist-designed Bees will be auctioned to find their forever homes, your Bee will be returned to you as a lasting keepsake – a treasured reminder of your participation in this inspiring, city-wide celebration of art, community, and creativity.

Participation fee

The participation fee covers the cost of your sculpture.

  • $300 + GST per school or group
  • Additional fundraising commitment of $700 for the Life Flight Trust during 2026
